Unlike other disabilities, learning problems are often less obvious and more difficult to identify. This is because learning problems cannot be seen as physical disability problems. Students with learning difficulties may show no signs of difficulty other than difficulty in certain cognitive processing.

Identifying and intervening early is the key to success.

However, success does not mean that the learning problem is gone. Instead students learn effective abilities and strategies that can help them achieve their academic goals as well as their personal goals. Students with learning disabilities usually have an average or better level of intelligence.

However, they have difficulty processing information that affects learning. As a result, academic performance often appears weak compared to intellectual ability. However, academic success can be achieved with certain interventions.
